Lou – near MC is horrendous isn’t it. I’ve been on Alan Turing Way in the cycle lane heading straight on, when several cars just swing into the lane to get to turn left. Bleeding nightmare! Once was on my way to the docs too!

I have a complete video of my journey down there on Monday – it was terrible. Cars parked over the lane. Buses pulling out without looking. Cars parking in parking bays but with their wheels blocking part of the cycle lane. Cars driving in the cycle lane. Buses blocking the cycle lane etc etc etc.

There are many ways of getting hit by a car. My biggest fear is getting rammed from behind from an impatient twat thats trying to overtake you despite you doing 40mph on a 30mph.

I went down Wilmslow Rd for the first time yesterday to get to the Loop and head home that way. I quite enjoyed it, it wasn’t all that bad so I’m going to try it again tonight. The advisory bits when you are in the door zone with a que of traffic on the right hand side are crap but the mandatory lanes later on were better than anything (nothing) I get going via Hyde Rd.

Maybe it’s made worse for you by slow bastards like me trundling along thinking ‘that guy should take it easy, his bpm looks a bit high’

This morning I was travelling near Man City and there was a cyclist in the cycle lane going straight ahead through the junction, and a guy in front of me decided to turn left there, no indicator and without looking and nearly creamed the poor bastard. Considering he’d just driven past him immediately before the junction, it’s not as if he wasn’t aware there was a cyclist in the vicinity. Cyclist didn’t even flinch – I presume because he’s so used to seeing that kind of stupidity every day.

And yesterday I was behind some bint who kept pulling into the cycle lane and then back out again on the same stretch of road. She only had a tiny car, it wasn’t like the generously wide lanes weren’t big enough to fit her car in. So either she was just blind, completely retarded or drunk, who knows. A good job then that there were no cyclists there.

I have to say cunts on bikes who just choose go or do as they please really really fucking piss me off. They always seem to get away with it.

you need to maybe do a reset on ure Garmin then if it is still giving a high reading get ureself looked at mate

A high heart-rate is normally a good sign that your still tired from your previous ride or that you’re about to fall ill / you haven’t fully recovered from being ill.
